Conlan's Birthday

The pictures don't quite do it glory - it was POURING rain and the boys were having a blast splashing around in this puddle.

Kelsea Candids

Kelsea loves to play with the camera and I am her favorite subject!

Can you believe it?

It was just one another of those rainy summer afternoons until I found out
Mom is making me cookies!

always in action

If you watch both blogs and ever wondered why you see a little more of Kelsea than you do Luke, it's because so many of my pictures turn out like this:
See Luke? Bottom right, flipping off the ottoman. They were playing a game where they pretend to ride a motorcyle, vrooming, signing "Bike", buckling in and putting on hats - too cute! Get the camera, off he goes.

Luke with his soccer ball...that just rolled away...

a little better - at least it clearly captures his concentration

It's just tricky to get pictures of someone who is constantly in motion!

Early Steps Evaluation

Luke had his developmental assessment at Early Steps today, and things went about how his Momma thought they would: Luke is a handsome, independent little man, who has advanced motor skills and needs some extra help with communication.

The summary of his present status with age equivalents:
Gross/Fine Motor Skills: 26 months
Self-Help/Adaptive Skills: 16 months
Social/Emotional Skills: 18 months
Academic/Cognitive: 17 months
Receptive and Expressive Communication: 13 months

They have recommended that he have a comprehensive hearing test done at All Children's here in Sarasota and that he begin speech therapy after that.

don't get dirty, okay?

Mommy: "Yes, you can play in the backyard, just don't get dirty, okay? We've got to leave in five minutes."
