signing lessons with Kelsea

Sister signs and says: Share? More Luke? and then lets me eat her half chewed grapes! It looks like all silliness, but after many days of watching her I finally signed back last night "All Done" at the dinner table when Daddy offered me more potatoes.

I found them!

I discovered the cabinet where Mom was hiding the awesome noisy shiny nesting toys!and then spend a lot of time clanging the lid on and off of each one to see where it fit...

9 months

I am nine months old today! So I've been out of the belly nearly as long as I was in and have grown so much! Nowadays I can feed myself finger foods, avacado, peas, steamed carrots, sweet potatoes and rice...at least those are the things Mom would like me to eat. I'm up for trying anything, dog food, leaves, or whatever Kelsea's got. I can stand, cruise a little and crawl really fast. My only signs are waving and milk, but I understand "All Gone" and "More" too. I'm still nursing, still up at night, still cuddling with Mommy in the sling or Mei Tai, still lovin' sweet baby life!

sometimes she sleeps

sometimes my sister will sleep late and I will get to play just Mommy and Me! Today it was chase each other crawling, peek a boo in the kitchen,
toss the ball and make silly faces!

well, I can do that

Mom got this toy out again and thought it would be fun for me to watch Kelsea play with it. Yeah, you read that right. So I showed her I knew how it worked too:

First Watermelon

I'm 8 months!

I am eight months old already! For the first time a month will not be highlighted by any visits to the doctor's office, because I am doing fabulous! My talent list now includes: feeding myself mushy things and pulling up on anything that will hold still long enough. Recently I earned the nickname Crash Man Luke because I am forever crashing into something. My great joys of the moment include racing Mom to the litter box and clearing shelves of any reachable objects. I also love dancing, bike rides, hanging out in the Mei tai, my silly sister and playing with water (even if that water is just Emma's bowl). Presently my most difficult thing is sleeping at night, I'll stand up when I should be sleeping and find myself stuck that way and needing assistance to get back down and soothing to return to dreamland. My tired parents are hoping that I soon learn to get down on my own, but it's sort of nice to visit with them all night. I've been told that someday my reign as baby may end so I have to check in every two hours or so to make sure my voice is still heard. Sure enough, Mom or Dad is right there every time!
