Early Steps

Today was my assessment with Early Steps for my low tone - I passed with flying colors! I tested ahead of my age for intellectual skills (I can pull a washcloth off my face- that's a 5 month skill!), right on for physical skills, and behind on my adaptive skills, though still within the range of normal. I loved the toys they brought and all of the talking and attention! Mommy was pleased to hear that all that time in the sling and being carried is most likely what helped me to make such good progress and avoid time in physical therapy. The therapists mentioned that I do still show some signs of low tone and might need a little extra help when it comes time for crawling and walking. They showed Mom some exercises to do that will help me to grow stronger, and were all for the starting of massage classes as well. Also if we need their help again they would be happy to come back out because we had so much fun! But for now, I'm looking good and making forward progress.

I CAN ROLL OVER!

I was just relaxing after a busy morning at MOPS

I was playing with Mommy
and then she went to checking her email so I ROLLED OVER! (Back to Belly to the right)
She put me on my back to make sure, so I showed her three times that I can roll!

Jacob better watch out!

Well, okay...

Kelsea keeps insisting that I have a cup of tea (I know it looks like coffee, but she says it is tea)
so I guess I have to play along...
Mmm, tea

I'm three months old!

Ha! I have started to show my personality the last few days, and greatly relieved Mommy's worries. I'm just a really easy going little guy - sleep all night, smile all day! Dr. Sevilla says I am doing much better and the causes for concern before look to have almost completely resolved on their own. My tone is still a little low, and Early Steps came to do an initial evaluation this week for that. It looks like it will either get better on it's own or I will have a little physical therapy and then be okay.

My First Hockey Game!

I went to see my first Lightning game with Grandma Miles, Uncle James, Uncle Rich and Mommy! I loved the bright lights and watching the players skate around
But was not so much a fan of the loud cheering
Uncle James made sure I was entertained during breaks in play

Grandma might be looking at the camera but I'M watching the game...

She thought she could sleep in...

Mom thought she could sleep in a bit because Daddy was home.
But I was hungry (this picture is after my breakfast, observe belly!) so I woke her up
and then promptly fell back asleep
Kelsea and Jacob sensed the peaceful morning and joined us - 7:35am
